About Me

Hi, I’m Katy–I’m a licensed therapist with a private practice in San Francisco, CA. I work with individuals, caregivers, and families, from adolescence (11+) to adulthood.

I approach my work from a strengths-based perspective, to support my clients with the task of drawing from their own innate strengths and lived wisdom to move towards healing and personal growth. I also honor the vulnerabilities we all hold, and aim to support each client in finding new strengths, connections, and skills that may move them into a more fulfilling, balanced life.

I approach my work, and my life, with playfulness and curiosity, as well as a deep respect for the emotions and experiences we hold and walk through life with. Practicing yoga for the past 15 years, as well as being in ongoing therapy myself, has continuously illuminated how inspiring and life-affirming connecting to body and mind, and person to person is and can be. Ultimately I’m inspired by having the lived human experience of finding connection and peace with myself via sitting with and truly be heard, seen, and supported by another person. Therapy, yoga, dancing, music, writing, walking in nature are some of ways I foster a sense of joy and aliveness in my life. I strive to offer authenticity in my relationships so others too can find connection and inspiration to experience embodied lives. I also actively partake in consultations and continued education so that I my world view remains flexible, grounded in now, creative, and up to date.
